Top 10 Ideas to Inspire Your Instagram Stories

We LOVE an Instagram story! They are such a fun and easy way to engage with your audience and the kids love to be featured.

Here our our top 10 favourite way to use Instagram stories!

1. Peak Inside the Studio.

A quick peak inside the classroom, walk through a class get everyone to wave hello or just stand in the corner and get a few seconds of in lesson footage.

2. Boomerangs.

I'm not shamed to admit i'm a bit addicted to boomerang. Boomerang is an app that create short 6 seconds videos that play forwards then rewind to create a fun video perfect for your Insta-story.

3. Talk About Upcoming Events/ Shows/ Recitals.

Just chosen a song for the upcoming show share your excitement with your followers in a quick video. Maybe you hosted a halloween disco take a short video at the disco of everyone having fun, not only will it show off how amazing the events you host are, it will encourage more people to attend next time.

4. Class Photos.

Your classes are amazing take a few photos in class to add to your stories to share the fun. This one is so simple and only takes a few seconds. take a photo add a hashtag and a few stickers to make a fun addition to your story!

5. Flash Sales.

Have left over stock from the show or a new design of leotard. Hold a flash sale on your Instagram stories offering 50%/30%/20% off for 24hours only. You could even have a limited run of T-shirts with the new hashtag for your school printed on them, only available for 24hrs via your Instagram.

6. Q&A with Dancers.

Ask your dancers whats there favourite song, favourite dance move. what there going as for halloween? Make it fun and interactive. You can even use this as a sneaky opportunity to get some dancer testimonials (you can save these videos to use on your website and Facebook page to promote your classes)

7. Silly Selfies.

Everyone loves a selfie, take some goofy photos with your dancers or give one of the older girls (ones you trust ;p) your phone to take some for you. like snapchat theres a range of fabulous filters to choose from like the dog, the hippy and the falling stars. so play around, have fun and your audience will too.

8. Snippet's from Shows.

Share a short video of dances from your last show or competition, to get your audience excited for the next one.

Alternatively have a show or competition coming up why not show a clip of the work in progress (just be sure to save the best bits for the actual show)

9. Sneak Backstage.

Share photos or videos showing off the planning that goes into class or show/exam/competition day. Talk about your plans for the coming term or ow excited you are for a workshops your hosting or an event your putting on.

10. "Just finished class and......."

Everyone loves feedback especially positive feedback. every parent wants to hear that there dancers amazing, so if you have just finished an amazing class where they absolutely blew you away with there hard work jump on Instastories and tell them :) have a mum that just volunteered to sew sequins on a show costume jump on Instagram and say thank you, you want to hug your customers via your social media and say well done and thank you.
